I also could not get it to compile with the latest SVN.
Sven, If you get a chance can you look at these errors. It appears to be missing some files.

I attached a screen shot of the error messages.

Thanks

Hi,

I had a quick look at the compiler errors with the current svn version. Luckily, they seem not to concern my code but just other "original" MediaPortal code in the same files I modified (since I posted complete source code files, these parts of the original code contained in my files are meanwhile outdated - my patch was written about three months ago!).

So I just pasted my changes into the updated files and it seems to work (no compiler errors any more). I did not have time to test it, though (but I think it should work).

Have fun testing the patch and please report back!

Regards,
Sven

Hey Sven,
Thanks for all your help with this.
I tried the patch and it compiles clean now.

I do have a couple of questions if you don't mind.

First question is after I compiled I just copied the files in the release folder over my existing mediaportal folder,It seems to work but the version listed on the splash screen no longer shows the SVN build version. It shows 0.2.2.0
Do I need to re-register some files or something? I seem to remember using a register.bat file in the past but I can no longer find it.

second question is I am not able to change channels using the numbers on the remote, I can using the numbers on the keyboard but not using the numbers on the remote, they have no effect.
In the remotes/winlirc section of MP configure.exe I assigned the actions "remote 1" to my remote #1 button, remote 2 to button 2 etc.
Just a note, the number buttons did not work for me using the winlirc plugin either, I was kinda hoping your patch would fix this.

can you let me know what you think about these issues.
all the other buttons that I have tested work fine.

Thanks for all your help.

Update: I got the channel changing by number to work by using the Keypress action and entering the appropriate code.

One thing that is strange and not related to winlirc is that it will not change channels by remote or by keyboard unless I check the box in television setup that says change by Index. then the channel numbers don't match. Anyone else have this issue?
I am using Standard cable and I am in the USA.
