Dear MP Team,
I was thinking of bundeling MP with HTPCs (as a business model where I live). I currently have no official business company for this matter (selling HTPCs) established, but i am studying the matter seriously and just ordered a sample HTPC box as a prototype to present to prospect resellers.
I really love MP (been using it for the last 3 years at home) and would like to help out and do the right thing here. I was wondering who is to be contacted to discuss this matter with (are there any special agreements have to be made or concent forms to be submitted). I was not going to supply MP as a product of my own or try to change anything in it, and i dont have a development team to work on modifying anything or going through the code (i myself am a programmer but mainly database solutions, but i do not have the time at the moment to be playing with the source).
If anyone can help me get in touch with the main team of MP and lets say get their blessing (and if there are any pointers they wish to identify my with) it will be highly appreciated. Needless to say that if I do establish this business and was planning to make donations to the project (based on the units sold - something like profit sharing
) after all, we never want to loose MP to the commercial side like every other product that comes out and makes well. And to explain a bit more about why i thought of this business (HTPCs) it is simply to change the market here where i live to elevate their living style to a more interactive and inter-connected environment.
Team MP ... I thank you for your efforts and super project (although until now i have a DVB card sitting in my PC - Nexus-S - that is not running because of darn TechnoTrend and their no-BDA driver for premium cards) but one can not have it all and with time all gets resolved
