Overview
This plugin unites MovingPictures, MPTV-Series and ConvertXtoDVD to provide the user with an integrated solution to transcode, author and burn DVDs from within MediaPortal .

Details
The plugin uses a slightly modified version of the MovingPictures and TV-Series plugins. In both of these plugins the user is presented with a choice before viewing a particular title. A dialog appears which gives the option to ‘play’ or ‘add title to burn disc’. Selected titles then appear in the Burn Disc menu which can be accessed at the home screen. From the Burn Disc screen the user can rearrange, add or remove titles. The ‘Create Disc’ button launches ConvertXtoDvD in batch mode and the selected titles are transcoded into TS_VIDEO and TS_AUDIO style vob files and a DVD is authored and burned. Configuration is as simple as pointing MP to the convertxtodvd executable.

Installation Instructions
Burn Disc.xml – copy to skins\blue3wide
Burn Disc.dll, MovingPictures.dll, MP-TVSeries.dll – copy to plugins\windows

Future Development
I plan on updating this plugin to be compatible with the next release version of MediaPortal, MovingPictures and TV-Series. Additionally, I plan to replace ConvertXtoDVD with something freeware like DVD Flick so everybody can use this, not just ConvertXtoDVD customers. Help is always welcome.

Minimum Requirements
ConvertXtoDVD
Blue3Wide Skin (so far)
Moving Pictures 1.0 RC2
MPTV-Series 2.9.1.969

Notes
The Burn Disc plugin is written in Visual Basic Express. The only MovingPictures and MPTVSeries are written in C#. The two modified files are included. If you’d like to donate, direct your generosity to MovingPictures and MPTVSeries.

    Hi

Can you maybe elaborate why moving pictures and tvseries dll's are also distributed in your package? Is it just because it is required or did you change anything in it?

yes - the movingpictures and tvseries plugins are slightly modified. Basically the edits write the filepath of the selected titles to a text file and ConvertXtoDVD supports batch conversions from a text file. I decided to use dialogboxes instead of trying to fool around with skins, even though that would have looked better.

Hopefully, when the MovingPictures and TVSeries teams have more time (they're preoccupied with there new releases at the moment) we can work something out which is a little more formal.
