Synopsis: This most recent version of Mediaportal appears to install correctly. However, whenever I try to start Mediaportal it gives me a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error. The error states the following...

"Runtime Error!

Program: C:............

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

When I attempt to install the 2.0 version and any previous versions the installation program is giving me the same message, although it identifies the the errant program as C: Windows\System32\msiexec.exe. The program did work at one time, but since then I suppose the major things I've done were to attempt to update the tv card drivers, with some difficulty, and install Norton antivirus to remove the elitetoolbar virus from my machine.

Any help would be gratefully received.
