In an attempt to future proof it a wee bit and yet not spend heaps I decided to get a TTS2-3200 with CI.Well all started well. Installed it fine and loaded the drivers and just to see if it worked I just did a scan on the built in Optus B1 D1 satellite. HEAPS of stuff was detected including lots of sky stuff which really made a mess of the guide but oh well. So I go into MP to see what it looks like straight off the satellite and it comes up with no video/audio detected.Crap!So back into TVE3 and I did a rescan. Satellite detected with max quality/signal but no channels detected.I figured well maybe I should do it properly this time and cleaned out the channel list and created a freeview sat list and rescanned. Again the signal was great but "nothing detected."OK well the drivers were ancient and TT aren't well known for great drivers so I upgraded to the 5.0.0.2 beta drivers.BAD idea. Particularly without reading the german instructions. <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite10" alt=":oops:" title="Oops!    :oops:" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":oops:" /> The system rebooted and suddenly I don't get any sound and then after a while it just starts making a popping sound. OK so uninstall the drivers totally and reboot. Now the sound is sorted so I try the 4.0.0.18 (I think) drivers. They install and the audio seems fine but still the same symptoms with scanning the satellite. I also started to notice that the CPU utilisation was reporting as being really high while no processes were really doing anything. YA!!!!Just because I'm starting to think hardware problem I started playing around with the LNB settings. On the plus side if I use bad settings it doesn't get a signal so I'm starting to think well how broken can the card be if it's at least picking up that much?So off to DVBViewer to test my luck. This seems to show the same thing. Sat connection is great but just don't expect to see any channels.*sigh*So off to the TT forums for a look for inspiration. I finally found an article that mentions PCI slots. Apparently AMD motherboards are bad for having non-optimal PCI slots and changing the card position can help.Luckily the system board had a few slots to play with but to start with I took out the old redundant wireless card. Not much point having it now that it's plugged into a hole in the wall. On the plus side it must work as the wireless card never really gave me any problems.Now it was reinstall driver time and into DVBViewer. Well other than the network and sound and any other system board stuff that still uses the PCI bus. This time I decided to try MP. this time 9 channels pop up on each transponder. Ya!!!!!!!So into MP and the first channel works. Ya!!!!!!!! And even changing to another channel on the same transponder worked. <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite8" alt=":D" title="Big Grin    :D" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":D" /> Then I over-reached and tried to change to the other transponder. No go. <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite5" alt=":confused:" title="Confused    :confused:" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":confused:" /> OK back into TVE3 and it seems to be doing a EPG update on the first transponder. OOOOOKKKKKKKK so I can't change channel if it's doing a bloody guide update?!?!!??Then I found the update EPG while timeshifting/recording. Looks promising. Back into MP and it all works!!!!! <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite8" alt=":D" title="Big Grin    :D" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":D" /> By that stage my wife had gotten home from a long day so I figured playing around much more wouldn't be a good idea but from here I want to see what other channels I can pick up on the dual throated Sky LNB and investigate combining the sky channels with the Analogue ones for EPG updates although I'm not sure how that will work with 1 sat card as I want to prefer the sat card for freeview but the analogue card for sky. Will have a play anyway.Finally I'll have a look at the CI interface and how that works as I'm having trouble installing the decoder app at the moment.But for now at least the damned thing is working.Hope this helps someone in the future.</blockquote>
