Hi - I've just joined the Mediaportal community, haven taking the opportunity to switch from XP MCE over Easter. I was getting sick of MCE's little quirks after running it for 18 months or so. I plan to put up another 90cm dish with dual LNB to feed a couple of satellite tuners for Freeview, something you can't do with MCE. Already have a 90cm with Moteck but will keep that for feed hunting! A 2.4m or larger for C band is on the 'wish list' but that's a little further off in the future. And of course Hedgehope isn't on the first wave of DVB-T so I'm not worrying about any of that yet. Strange how we got TV4, Prime and Maori TV on day one..... On the subject of scanning for UHF: Thanks for the hint - it works nicely here. I guess that the equivalent of the MCETuningOverrides.xml file needs to be surfaced in Mediaportal so you can force it to scan UHF. Just like a default MCE install it is just not scanning UHF by default and only scans VHF bands I and III - TV1/2/3/C4/Cue here. Switching to Cable appears to ignore the country setting, scanning every frequency in bands I, II, III, IV and V on a 2 MHz stepping.
