And as the old expression goes "you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear" meaning in this case if your original signal is 720x576 then upscaling it to "full HD" will never really make it clearer. There is a lot of nonsense talked about upscaling dvd/HD players but they cant make a signal HD if the orignal source was SD. Different codecs can produce very different results however, purevideo or power cinema are generally recommended, the latter is my own personal preference. And make sure your output is 50HZ to avoid judder, i.e. scrolling text at the bottom of the V8's, if its not smooth then you're probably not at 50HZHTH</blockquote>
