Luckily I found a thread somewhere that said CoreAVC doesn't make use of the .h264 hardware acceleration on my HD3850 card and did it all in software, hence the 100% processor load and dropped frames.</p><p>Even more luckily I got a copy of Cyberlinks PowerCinema with the TV card so installed it to get the Cyberling .h264 decoder, which does use the hardware acceleration on the HD3850.</p><p></p><p>So I set mediaportal setup to use the Cyberlink decoder and, presto, TV1, 2 and even 3 are all running near perfect (a little stutter but I can live with that). However C4 has suddenly decided not to work at all!</p><p></p><p>I have tested things by leaving everything the same except changing between the Cyberlink decoder (where I get TV1, 2 and 3 fine but black screen and MP lockup for C4) and CoreAVC (where I get C4 perfect and TV1, 2 and 3 in slow mo / lots of dropped frames).</p><p></p><p>I thought that maybe signal strenght or tuning might have been an issue at first but C4 and TV3 are both on the same frequesncy here in Hamilton and I would have thought if any channel was going to be hard to sort out it would be TV3!</p><p></p><p>Just for informaiton, this is the setup for C4:</p><p>Freq: 690000</p><p>NetworkID 8746</p><p>TrasportId 29</p><p>ServiceID 1301</p><p>Bandwidth 8 MHz</p><p>VideoPid 0</p><p>AudioPid 0</p><p></p><p>Any ideas guru's? Is there a frequency tweek I need for C4 under Cyberlink? Are there any Cyberlink decoder settings I should be concerned with?
