Yes, you're in the right place - there should be quite a few differences, not just the "idle mode".
So I think the update went wrong.
Can you try again?

Also I belive TV Server didn't starts when windows is coming up...

Have a look an screenshots and log, please. There was an error exporting the logs. (see file) so I could only export the following logs..

Known issue - sorry should have warned you.
The fix is quite easy: edit the tuning detail file and change "BandWidth" to "Bandwidth".

I really need the tv.log file to understand what is happening with this.

1. Open TV Server configuration.
2. Click "open log directory" in the top left corner.
3. Zip up all the files you find there and post the zip file here.

Also I belive TV Server didn't starts when windows is coming up...

This is unusual. I will check the logs.
Please check the service configuration (start, run services.msc, look for "TVService") is set to automatic.

So here is my first report of last nights work.

DVB-T Scanning
so after changing tunerdetails and restarting tv service twice (first there was an meomory error) I got dvb-t tuning running. I choose Berlin_Brandenburg and there are some frequences wrong:

1. Start


2.Start
Later I got errors scaning the 1., 2., 9., and 11th frequence.
So frequences have changed here: Have a look to http://www.mabb.de/digitale-welt/dvb-t/programme.html

So I scaned a second time with all germany:
Missing are 682000 and 754000 KHz

So I tried to scan one singel frequence -> MP crashes!

In between the TV Server and/or TV setup crashed. I had to restart Service before TV-Setup

By the way: In former versions there was all the time the signal and quality bar from tuner visible. Now there is only a bar when the right frequence is being scand. This is confusing because I usalyy thing there is anything wrong with the dvb-T card. For DVB-S scanning MP displays the bars all the time!

After the 11th channel MP Setup (Setup and Service) crashes!

TV-Server startup
I checked services in windows. TV Server was on not on automatic start. I checked that option to automatic. Don't know why. Must happend at reinstall. Before the old version was running in automatic mode.

Error in gentle config
In this version there is still the error discribed in

There should be the name of the server inside otherwise cliens won't find the databse on the server


MP probelm comes from an error in handling the installoption use existing databse. I believe there is no update in gentle.config with the real name aof db server..

When opening Client in window modus and swiching applications by alt-tab MP vanishes in tray. After clicking tray icon a full black screen appears, no text. So I have to kill MP Client[DOUBLEPOST=1350132395][/DOUBLEPOST]Sorry images disapear, see attched files...

It is not my goal to fix all issues in this branch. The focus is on better hardware support.

However...
It seems that this problem may occur under very specific conditions:

1. Clean software install.
2. An old MySQL MP database exists that happens to use the default schema name, user name and password.

Normally the default gentle.config file is expected to be replaced, however in this situation the default gentle.config file (which uses localhost as server name) will allow successful connection to the DB without asking for DB configuration.
Default connection string is:

But you did not get the chance to enter the real server name. Correct?

This is because you don't have a MediaPortal.xml configuration file.
Please run MP or MP configuration to create the configuration, then you can use the watchdog.

Ok, it's since a longer time. I think it should be the appeares als DVB-S scanning. Unfortunatelly I'm not able to test DVB-S scanning without the right frequence jet, because it crashes. But I remeber starting DVB-S scanning the bars are displaed at the beginning, at DVB-T they appear later, when a right freqeuncy is been found...

So I chanced gente.config in TV Server directory and it is transfered to the MP client. But I didn't manage to get MP client running. The typical error is comming up. Did I insert the IP wrong?

Update.

I had a look into the client log. It seams to me, that MP Clients gets into contact to database but after clicking on tv programms the window to chance server name/ip comes up. After insering the right IP I get the attached error message attached above??

The log tells that MP client had found 330 channels?

I misunderstood what you meant. Please try the attached SetupTv.exe. I hope it will be compatible, but remember to take a backup of the current one just in case.

I'm not 100% certain that I have found the problem, but I have reported it internally. We will see if the team agrees with what I think...

The IP is okay so the DB connection should work, but did you configure the IP address for the server in MP configuration?
