Can anyone launch external apps? (1 Viewer)

I am using My Programs and Multishortcut to launch a range of fullscreen applications such as Opera, CDisplay, MAME ,N64, CCS64 etc. This works fine unless I have used My TV first, which is pretty much every time MediaPortal is opened.

The theory is that My TV is locking Direct3D (or DirectSomething) even though it has finished with it. This is just a guess.

This problem has been mentioned on a couple of other threads –

I would like to ask, is everyone who launches external apps seeing the same problem?

Test –

Open MediaPortal
View a channel in My TV
Stop the channel
Try to launch an external app with My Programs or Multishortcut.
At this point the app gets focus, but you cannot see it – is this true?
