Is there a way to move/create/delete buttons from the GUI in Media Portal?

1. I want to put the "R.Slideshow" button from the Pictures folder into the Music folder (or maybe even the "Now Playing" screen) so that I can more easily launch a photo slideshow while my music is playing
2. I want to eliminate the scrobble buttons from the GUI cuz I never use them.
3. ...Pretty much any other custom manipulation of buttons how I would like...

I would like to retain the functionality of the buttons, but copy them to another location and make them work there, too.

You need to edit the skin xml files, they are named the same as the plugin e.g. My Pictures.xml (remember to back them up first).

Your 1st idea may not work though, I suspect pressing the R.SlideShow button launches a slideshow of the currently selected pictures folder which isn't available in the music screen.

The buttons are defined in the xml, but the functionality is in code. So your 1st idea does not work at all. The "number" or "id" of the R.Slideshow button would be used in the mymusic section and you would trigger some unknown function (or get an error message about duplicated button ids).

C# (not c++). You can of course add additional functionality, like starting a slide show from my Music, but it is not so easy, since if you are in music, the slide show objects are not accessible (well, not direct ;-).

    So have a go

    Hmmm...

This sounds like a normal feature that I'm really surprised I'm the first to think of...

Where can I look to see if anybody else has already started (or finished) this?
