Can MS DMO Video Decoder cause problems? (1 Viewer)

    MS DMO Video Decoder is software based, so yes it could cause A/V sync to drift or dropped frames when compated to other decoders on same HW (when CPU is not powerful enough to decode).

    Hi tourettes, thank you for looking into this.

    I saw that it is present from the start menu; it has a 'Video Decoder ON' shortcut but I didn't find any way to uninstall it.
    The dll file is still present, do you have any idea how to see if it's active?
    In the control panel sound->hardware tab, I didn't find anything either.
