This is a workaround to possably help others, is there somewhere else I should have posted this?
I have a workaround for the can not start timeshifting error caused by the TV server not working properly (as it always has). run the attached program at startup and it will watch for a dialog resembling the included picture (make a new one to match your choses skin if needed, the picture matches xface) and will automatically restart the service when it sees it. not perfect but better than having to manually do it every second time you turn the TV on.
the green section on the picture represents a section tha may change (in this case the channel name), mask or crop any semi-transparent areas or areas with text that is not always the same if you make your own.
