I'm having a hard time here today. I've reinstalled 1.2.1 after a full products cleanup. and I can now only tune one analogue channel. Then when I try to tune another (after stopping the first ) I find that I have "An unknown error occured" Now when I look at the manual screen on the tv server I find that my analogue card, a pvr350, is highlighted red, If I restart the tv service I can tune one more time. Channels on my Nova S2 card are unaffected but I've deleted them for testing, Any ideas the S.O. is giving me right old grief.

    Hi there :)

I am not too good with log files, but while we wait for the experts, can you check if you use stop mode or pause mode?
    TV Servers - MediaPortal Wiki

and try swapping it around and report back if it makes a difference.

Many thanks for the reply, been doing some tests last night, pause or stop. no difference. even tried 1.2.1 final with no plugins. and only previewing a second channel causes my analoguee card to lock up until a restart of the tv service. I've noticed that after restarting the service I've lost sound on that card till a reboot. In years of MP use and more versions than I can count I've never seen this before. Has something in the tswriter changed between 1.2.0.0 beta and 1.2.1 final?

New Logs from a brand new install of windows 32 bit proffesional with MP 1.2.1 final, all default settings.

    2 analogue channels created.

Hardware that works with 1.2 beta.

Viewing or previewing, second analogue channel causes my pvr 350 card to stay red in the manual view. or give an unknown error when connected through a client.

Im a bit freaked out now. I really thought that a full format and new install would have done the job and fixed this. I cant find anything similar on the forums recently.

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

Ok, some head scratching later it seems that if I change my analogue channels from input svhs3 to svhs1 everything works ok. I'm just restoring from an image now. Ill do some more testing in the morning.

I could swear I've had my analogue channels set to svhs3 for ever. Might be losing it here!

    Hi wollo

    Your tuner doesn't have a 3rd s-video input - only 2:

Could you have been using CVBS #3 (composite)?

In any case, stick with CVBS #1/#2/#3 or SVHS #1/#2 and you shouldn't have any problems.

    mm,

my card has only 1 svhs and 1 composite. It always shows up as having 3 though, go figure!

Anyway that did the trick, watching sky right now!

    Hi again

TV Server shows all possible values in that field, which is why there are three of each input type (including YRYBY which is component... etc.) available. Anyhow I'm glad you have it working. :)
