Hi I have a weird problem.

I can't seem to get any live tv running in the small window under my tv or in full screen. I can see the channels when previewing them under TV-server config and if i record the channel i can see it afterwards, but no live. Any suggesting to what could be wrong?

Sounds like the TVServer client plugin not installed\enabled, a firewall problem, or a codec problem, are you using MPV\MPA for TV codecs.

One of the above will be the cause.

I can see the name of the channels i set up in tv-server so there should be a connection between the two. Clicking the tv off/on button has no effect for some reason. Regarding codecs yes i'm running MPA and MPA, are there any better?

Where can I get hold of the cyberlink codec? The wierd thing is that i can see and hear the channels when previewing them in TV-server.

Just download the PowerDVD8 trial from cyberlink.com and install, codecs should then be available to chose in MP config.

Definately make sure your firewall lets TVServer.exe and mediaportal.exe through as exceptions.

Just turning firewall off is not enough.

Have you changed the Windows default DPI to make windows more readable, as this causes issues.

I've installed power dvd version 8 and are now using the CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (HomeNetwork). I've also tried (PDVD8), but little does it help.

Im using Zone alarm as my firewall and have allowed mediaportal access.

You can see my tv codec setup here.

I can now see tv in full screen, but the small preview windows jitters for some reason.
