a rocksolid card is the floppy-dtv or fire-dtv from digital everywhere, which only needs a firewireport.
if you dont have one you could install a PCI - firewire card ;)

the card(s) are not cheap, but it sounds like you allready found out that there is a good reason why some cards are cheap and others are not ;)

i am using a floppydtv and a floppydtv-s2. and i am realy happy with these devices :)

    Hi Infinityloop,

I am thinking about getting a second FireDTV Box. My computer has only one firewire port. Is it possible to use both boxes (for me a FireDTV S and a FireDTV S2) with only one firewire port?

    Thanks in advance

I am sure in Italy there is a local version of ebay or something similiar?
Have a look around the second hand newsgroups and things, I am sure you will find someone who has upgraded his floppy/fire DTV and wants to sell his old version?

Don't whatever you do try and save 50 euros (or whatever) and take a Technotrend or Twinhan card? They are nothing but trouble.
