The following problem im facing at the moment.

I use mediaportal a lot for playing my favorit webradio streams.
When a stream is playing, on the left bottom a tiny visualization screen is playing ll the time.
I did tried everything to set it of... Set visualization on/off, change player, even checked the xml file if everything was correct. Nothing helped.

I really thinks it annoying when the whole time a visualization is playing (not only in the radio screen, also in de main/home screen).

When playing just an MP3 file, the visualization screen isnt there (the way is has to be according to the configuration).

Thanks in advance,

Update:

By setting MyHome.XML overlay to NO, the visualization will disappear :)
The only disadvantage right now is that it will also remove the overlay when playing tv / DVD / Movie, but I can live with that.

The strange part is that is will not work on MyRadio.XML
Even when overlay is set to NO, the overlay will still appear....

Maybe it's something for the DEV's. An option for each function (DVD/TV/Music) to set the overlay on the left lower bottom ON/OFF. I will post this in the feature requets.

You have to disable the visualization in MediaPlayer for Windows configuration. It is not configurable direct in mediaportal.

Thanks, the visualizations are gone now.

But, the little black window stays in the screen, overlaying all other interface parts.
Is there a way to remove that little window?

Sorry, no way to remove the Overlay window.
You would need to modify the skin file manually to get rid of it.

    Okay,

But it is possible by editing the skin files... right?

Do you have any idea wich of the files needs to be edited, becouse it's so &*#@ anoying that I would spend the time for it to remove :)

Finely someone else who dislikes visualizations! Editing skinfiles (XML) can be done in notepad or similar text editor.

I know how to edit XML files... but id like to know wich XML has to be editted to get rid of the visualization....

And spragleknas, maybewe can make a team... "Team against visualizations in webradio".. :).

On the other hand, if it's not possible removing the visualizations by editting the XML files... maybe we can post a feature request, that they make an option to set it on/off....

    update 12 april @ 20:00:

I'd tried to edit the myradio.xml to remove the overlay window, but it didnt work out.
The only thing in the XML file you can edit is the "layout" of al the fields. I think the WMP overlay window is hardcoded in mediaportal becouse it is overlaying sometimes other interface parts.
