I can play the same file in VLC no problems, and indeed in Windows MediaPlayer and in PowerDVD as well I upgraded my Nvidia driver to the latest (as there is always a later version), no difference, reinstalled DirectX, no difference, I tried different skins, no difference. I even installed the XP Codec pack, tried ffdshow and no matter what, MP will not play these files. If I use the same menu and go off to my NAS and play any MKV I have encoded, or some older AVI's they all play fine. It is just the TS format that is causing me a problem. I even tried copying up to a NAS - just incsae that was a problem with a local disk, but still no go. I then tried an older recording I had done a long time ago, and again this had the same problems - so it seems that I have a problem playing back .ts files inside MP. I also tried telling MP to use MPC, Nvidia, ffdshow, PowerDVD as the video and audio decoders and they ALL did the same thing. Both these .ts files are fine in external apps - VLC, Windows Media Player, PowerDVD 8 so I am sure it is a MP related issue. Any ideas? Thanks in advance [/QUOTE]
