Guys, (and Gals)

I'm trying to find a new motherboard for a new Media server which will be running TV Engine 3... Thing is, I can't seem to find a suitable mobo that fulfills my requirements...

As I'm an annoyingly loudmouthed AMD fanboy, I want an AM2 mobo. The 3600+ X2 EE is very easy on power with C&C enabled and plenty fast for my needs (not to mention, dirt cheap, I am, afterall, on a budget).. So requirement numero uno :
  • Must be Socket AM2
I like my tuners - And plenty of them.. So I'll need 4 PCI slots for TV Tuners. (Currently 3 x analog and 1 x digital). I'll also need a Raid controller. So that makes requirement numero due :
  • 5 PCI slots
I also like my Gb network environment, requirement number three :
  • Onboard network with Gigaspeed capability...

I've searched high and low, and nothing seems to fit..... :-|

Cheers, and thanks,
/Steff

hmmm, the 5 pci slots with AM2 is proving to be a toughey, is 939 a option (only a thought).

Everything found so far has 3pci + 2pcie, not looking good on the AM2\PCI route

Could you repleace some of the tuners with hybrid devices or is hardware MPG a must have?
You can get a nice PCIe tuner that is dual DTV AND dual ATV but I am pretty sure the analog would be software...

Hardware encoding is a must.. The server will also be running a virtual server hosting my soon to come Scalix server - So as much CPU offloading as possible...
