I am trying to get my EPG going using the XMLTV plugin.
I use MC2XML and have it set to create the file "tvguide.xml".
However, XMLTV requires the file "xmltv.dtd" as well.

I have searched all directories for this file, and it doesn't exist on my computer.

This is a new installation of MediaPortal on a fresh install of Windows XP Home SP3.

Is this a file that never changes content?
If so, could someone post it somewhere for me to download?
Otherwise, how do I get a copy?

Thanks,
Mark

    Hi Mark

    Welcome to the forum! :)
For XP it should exist in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv. Note that is a hidden folder, so the simplest thing is probably to search c:\Documents and Settings for xmltv.dtd with searching of hidden files and folders enabled. Failing that, you can download the latest one from -->here<-- (direct link).

PS: A search of the forum should have turned up lots of results like -->this<--.

Thanks, I do have the file now.

I did search the forum and found some references where to look for it on my system... but it was the hidden folders that got me. On my main computer I have had preferences set for YEARS to scan all directories. So on this freshly loaded system I didn't think to have to request that specifically for the search.
