Can't get IR Blasting to work, it's driving me crazy (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

I'm using MP RC4 on Vista,
I have a MCE OEM remote that I got when I bought my Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150 MCE KIT,
and I also have a USB IR receiver that is recognized in the device manager as "ehome Infrared Receiver (USBCIR)".
I installed IR Server suite 1.4.2 and configured the TV3 blaster plugin,
when I press the test button in the STB setup screen I screen I see that the IR blaster works,
but for some reason this doesn't work inside mediaportal,
when I go to My TV and try to change a channel the channel doesn't change (just the channel info changes).

This is the only issue that is keeping me from moving from VMC to MP,
Can someone help me?

Yes, disable in MP Config.

I really wish I could assist you with the blasting problem, since mine is working so great. I am on XP. I do not know if Vista is your problem. I just now saw at least one other Vista user with similar problem.

Any Vista users out there that can confirm if blasting with IRSS 1.4.2 works or not?

I finally managed to get it to work,
I just needed to deselect the require focus option in the MP control plgin.
