Can't get MCE remote to work (1 Viewer)

Windows Version: win XP
Remote: MCE remote


I can't get my standard MCE remote to work with the build in remote plug-in and i can't figure out why.
I can get it to somewhat work with IR server suite but then some of the buttons don't behave as i expect. (some don't work at all)

I've used the remote before without problems but after a reinstall I couldn't find the standard driver for my MCE IR reciver (the one that is build into WinMCE) so I used one called alternative MCE IR driver and now my IR reciver shows up as MCE Infrared Remote Control usb device and I don't think it did that before the reinstall. (Think is was a HID device)


Any Ideas on how to get it to work again?

EDIT:
Okay found some drivers on this site and i can install the ehome infrared device but then it pops up with a 'found new hardware' and tries to install infrared HID device but it fails to install the hidir.sys so I get a error 10 on the device.
I've tried with another version of the hidir.sys from my laptop but still nogo.
Maybe i need a even newer from a Vista machine...
