I'm having a strange problem when playing "non digital" audio via MP.
all the HD movies/tv-series that come with 5.1/DTS/AAC audio play fine.
while content (usually xvid) that comes with MP3 2.0 isn't hears at all (video plays with no sound).

i've tried all the codecs avaliable in MP config (SHARK 007 Pack is installed).

if i play outside MP it works.

i use AC3FILTER for the SPDIF config, although like i said i tried other options as well to avail.

anyone can help?

I'm thinking in the blind here since I am not using SPDIF, but I have seen an option in your Windows to have non digital use this port too. Is that checked marked?

Just a thought.

I stuck the latest drivers on this morning for my realtek sound and its working again now. I will wait and see if it reoccurs. *crosses fingers* This seems to only have happened since ive put the latest steamedMP skin on.

i think i found the problem:

1. Microsoft takes over the digital driver for some reason, so i went to the sound settings and pressed "update driver", browsed to the reaktek driver to changed it.
2. disable the "HDMI OUT" output, cause it's always switches to it instead of the SPDIF.

i hope it will remain OK..

I will have a look at it tonight when I get home from work. I take it you just disable the the HDMI output in the "playback devices"?
