Can't make my mind up over my remotes (1 Viewer)

I have been using a Terratec twin tuner and its associated USB ir remote (kind of uses a keyboard emulation to map keys to remote buttons)

Now I have purchased two hauppage hvr-1100's I have the remote that comes with those (connects to the back of the card)

So my dilemma is I have the terratec remote about 90% configured and working (too lazy to finish it off as it works ok to date) but I find that the remote can sometimes be unresponsive.

So the question is, would I be better served to install one of the hauppage remotes thus replacing my terratec remote (which I admit could be used for a client machine as it is not dependant on the tv card being present inside a machine)

OR

Is the setup of the hauppage going to be long and awkward so I should not bother? or is it going to bestow upon my machine advantages over the terratec remote making it a worthwhile excercise as it will be more responsive and reliable (barring the occasional standby problem that some people seem to have had on the forum?)

Thanks for your opinions, as I really can't decide as I have never used a hauppage remote

You can probably install them both, try them and keep whatever works best. I think there is a plugin or setting for the hauppage remote.

I've got a Hauppage NOVA-T and the remote that comes with that works natively in MediaPortal so I'd assume yours would to.

Cheers for the feedback, I had seen that there were settings for the hauppage but I didn't know if it was actually a good remote.
tbh I wasn't too keen on the fact it plugs into the tv card itself.

But the terratec's unresponsiveness because of its design is just starting to get to me a little and thought I should ask you guys what you thought about the them.
