    Hi all :D

I have recently rebuild my HTPC and am now running RC2 with SAF5.

I am experiencing a weird problem playing some movies (upto now its only certain MKVs)

I have my setup configured for AC3 and DTSSSSSS passthru, everything else is upscaled by ffdshow to 5.1.

My problem is that when I try and launch a problematic movie (from within MovingPictures) it instantly reverts back to the movie list without playing the movie. I have identified this to be related to an audio issue.

If I remove video post processing from MePo it plays. This is where it gets weirder..... I have ffdaudio configured to output
as 16bit integer and AC3 (spdif encode mode) - this works fine for all my TV and other movies - but not for these problematic ones. If I change these settings to 16bit LPCM it now works for my problematic movies, but breaks everything else??? :(

I have tried various things, disabled stream switcher in ffdaudio, disabled resampling...but no joy :(

I am wondering if its an issue with the splitter?

The problematic movies pla fine within Graphstudio.

I have atched some images of my ffdaudio setup, graphstudio when it works, and my logs of when I try to play the movie.

    Thanks,

    J. :D

ps - Apologises if this is the wrong forum, but I've always been told that if it plays in Graphstudio, its not a codec issue - Please move this thread if required. :)

    I'm back... :)

As can be seen from the logs, the movie has two audio streams: AAC and DTS

I tried remuxing the movie, just having one steam (tried it both with just AAC and DTS).

On both occasions it plays fine - so the issue appears when the movie has two audio streams??

    Thanks

    J.

Have a similar issue to yours (running RC2) which i thought was down to codecs, So far i can get every movie to play (all mkv's) when i disable moving pictures and just access them through the normal Video listing. If i enable Moving Pictures the only way they will play is if i run from the Debug mode, they will all play fine.
