Recording and playback of TV on my Mediaportal pc works great. Except for displaying recorded HD TV. I can watch HD TV direct through Mediaportal (e.g. 'One HD' here in Oz) but when I want to watch a recorded HD TV show Mediaportal freezes for a few minutes (rest of computer is still active). After a while control is returned to MP but is hasn't shown anything.
If I look in Windows Explorer, I can see that is has recorded a few GB of data for the particular HD TV program.

What could be causing this?

Are you able to play the recorded ts file with MPC-HC for instance?

You should do a log. In order to do this, select the MediaPortal Debug Mode shortcut in your programs menu, follow the instructions and when MediaPortal started, try to start the recorded HD video again, wait (as before) and then exit and post the generated log here.

When I play it in Windows Media Center, it does play but it looks like it is being fast forwarded.
