I have a HTPC with server/client installed (single seat) in the livingroom, and I have a remote client in my studio with only MP client installed. Both are fresh installs of MP1 RC2 with no SVN's. For argument sake I have deinstalled all firewalls, which I am not to happy about. ;-) So Firewalls are not an issue in this case. both the server and the client are on the same switch (1000mb) On my HTPC in the livingroom everything works perfectly. However, when I start MP in my studio (the client) I can see the EPG with data, the channels, the recordings etcetera. I can also see the server is busy sending. I can play video's which are on the server, music, pictures, the whole lot. Every thing is working. But! The moment I start the TV on the client, MP freezes, although i can see at the server the timeshifting is started by my client in the studio, so something went right and then went wrong. The only thing I can do is kill MP. After that, the timeshifting on the server stops after a few minutes. So clearly there is a connection, and the server is sending, but client is not receiving anything. i have tried VLC with RSTP//192.168.1.17/stream1.0 like it says in the serverlog, but it gets nothing. I am getting pretty desperate and fed up by reinstalling and configuring everything for the 8th time. I have spent 4 days searching the forum, but every time I see a topic similar to mine, people say it's solved, but not what was wrong. Or it was the IP on the server, or some other mistake people made, but I am pretty sure that after reading all the manuals and installing everything on both computers (even fresh windows installs and SP3 which took me another day), and not being a novice, I have done everything by the book. But I am fresh out of ideas So please, please, somebody help me out. Thanks a million in advance. [/QUOTE]
