Synopsis::

When viewing TV (fullscreen or with gui), pressing "b" on the keyboard does not stop the tv. Only if I am in the home screen will "b" turn off the tv, but I don't think it really turns off the tv because when I enter any other menu the tv shows up again. Is this a bug or some setting that is wrong? Pressing "b" works to stop music and videos off my hard drive (in both fullscreen and gui modes), so I know the stop finction can work

I also have 4 other quick questions, which I am sure will only take a second for someone to answer:

1. Is there any way to change the OSD tv info to not have the play/ff/rew/pause icons on there?

2. Can I change the number of viewable channels in the tvguide so that I only have 5 channels at a time instead of 8? I think it would make the words easier to read if they were bigger.

3. Is there a shortcut key to go to the recorded tv menu screen, or would it be easy to add that on to myKeys plugin?

4. Is there a key that can turn on the tv from the home screen or any other screen? That way I can be at the movie menu and the program my remote to turn on the tv and go to fullscreen all with one click using HIP. If the "turn tv on" function were a toggle function with turning it off, that would be so great!!

Thanks you very much in advance for your help!!!!! I love the stability of this program and it has been a pleasure to use.

Hi,

I have the same stop behaviour in MyTv, don't know if that's a bug.

1. I have changed my TV OSD so that these Buttons won't show and some other things like fontsize etc. If you want I can send you the TVOSD.xml for the MCE skin.

I'm also having a problem stopping the TV. It won't top with the 'b' key.
I also have to stop it twice or maybe three times in the MyTV home. It appears to reset itself and then carry on running. Ater a few (2 or 3) tries it will evntually top.

bump...

Please, does anyone know why I can't stop the tv by hitting "b" on the keyboard? It works for stopping music, video and everything else - just not tv.

I can't use this as my main tv watching program until I can get that working because I won't have a way to stop the tv cards from encoding when I turn off the actual TV.
Thanks.

    I don't think there is a shortcut to recorded TV, but the MCE remotes have a button for this.

    As for the stopping of live TV, it does seem to be more persistant than it used to be.
