capture cards tab/menu (1 Viewer)

I just installed Mediaportal on Vista x64 and have a FloppyDTV and Technotrend S2-3200 onboard, but I can't configure them bacause there is no capture card section in the configuration menu.

Already reinstalled twice, to no avail. Is there something silly I'm forgetting here? How can I configure my cards?

Just to be clear, are you using the inbuild tv or the tvserver?

I think the server, not sure though. I did a full install and went into configuration to configure the cards, but the option just wasn't there

If you are using the tvserver, you would configure the cards in TVServer Configuration and not in MediaPortal Configuration. See if you have a desktop icon or START-menu item for TVServer Configuration.

First of all thank you for helping out.

When I start the TV server configuration, a database setup windows appears asking for the sa user password which I don't know. During install this was never asked.

Try password sa?

You may also want to read the TVServer manual for first time installation and configuration.
One of the pages in the manual, states the following:

The next screen is important!!!
Choose mixed mode and fill in a password for the sql server administrator account
Write down the password, we will need it later on!

No Card TV tab

Hi all !!,

I was having the same problem that much of you. After installation of the package no card TV tab appeared. What I did was uninstall ONLY TV server application. Then ran Media Portal and the Card TV tab appeared and could set the configuration.

That is ONLY an option if you do not want to use the TVServer.
I am very dependent on the TVServer. You can search the forum/manual for advantages and other users experiences.
