I suggest adding support for a second filename standard, used for Various Artists albums.

In configuration.exe we get the option to set filename for music ripped by MediaPortal. For example, I use this one:
%artist%\%album%\%artist% - %tracknumber% - %title%
The problem is, if I rip a Various Artists album, this will split the album into several folders with one track in each. Since cddb has a flag for Various Artists, MP could check for that flag and let us use another naming standard, also specified in configuration.exe. I would probably set it up something like this:
Various artists\%album%\%tracknumber% - %artist% - %title%
