Hi

I recently added a couple of Series to my Collection and, until today, have not encountered any problems playing them with the My-TV-Series Plugin.
But today I wanted to watch a new series which is available as mkv. files but MePo will not play them. When I klick play, I see a very short image of the first scene of the file but then get back to the episode selection screen. Strangely, the episode is marked as watched nonetheless.
As other mkv. files are played without any problems, I really don't know were to look for the error.

Maybe someone of you has the answer

Thx in advance for your help!

Problem solved. After a more detailed search on the internet I found out that it could have been a codec issue. After changing the Codec from ffdshow to PowerDVD it's now playing without problems.

Case closed I would say ^^

Case closed I would say ^^

Would you mind if I reopened it for a moment?

I may have the same problem. I've been ripping my own DVDs to MKV files and have found that AAC audio works fine, but when I copy AC3 audio tracks the resulting MKV files do not play in MP 1.1.0 Final when I use directshow HDMI audio. They do exactly as you describe, I see a flicker of the first frame then it goes back to the video list. The same files play perfectly in Windows Media Player.

I've tried plugging my headphones into a standard audio socket and used the relevant audio device in both directshow and waveout mode. I can get the video to play this way, but still get no sound from AC3 MKVs. AAC MKVs work fine in any case.

Unfortunately I don't have PowerDVD so I can't test your solution, and needless to say none of the codecs available to me work.

Do your troublesome MKV files have AC3 audio by any chance?
