To anyone:

FYI: my system:

Intel Pentium D 3.0 GHz 2x2 dual processor L2 Cache FSB 800
4 Gigs of DDR2 SDRAM @667 MHz
250 Gig HDD 7200 rpm
ATI All-in-Wonder X1800XL video card w/ 256 MB sdram
SoundBlaster X-Fi Platinum sound card
Plextor PX-755SA DVD/CDRW drive
Win Vista Ultimate 32 bit OS
Previous OS: Win XP SP 2

I recently upgraded to Vista, updated my sound and video cards with the Beta drivers at the vendors' respective websites. However, I still cannot capture video with my Sony hi8 camera thru the adapter (as I was able to with XP Pro), nor can I record thru my front I/O panel of my soundcard. I am aware that drivers are being compiled to enable compatibility with Vista, and am wondering who else is in the same boat with similar sound/video cards .?. and if they are aware of when these drivers will be available .?.

Thanks ...

Chan

Thanks for the quick reply ... I'm using both BETA drivers now (Creative's and ATI's are both BETA), however still cannot capture/record thru my cards. On my soundcard what is available for use right now are: Line2/Mic2, USB Audio Device, and S/PDIF Out. What is "currently not available are: Line In, Digital In, S/PDIF-In, What U Hear, Aux 2, Microphone. And, cannot capture video thru ATI's card. Let's hope both companies hold true to their word and get those newer drivers out a.s.a.p. Maybe I should have dual-booted to start with, as well .?. oh well, hindsight is 20/20 they say .!. Thanks again for the quick response. Chan
