Hi

I want to customize my on/off button on mce remote. I want to be able to script it so I can use pvr-scheduler's hibernation function. This way I can be sure the pc wake up when a scheduled recording is due.

Any ideas???

Thanks

I am not sure I understand why you want to customize the on/off button on your mce remote - I use PVR Scheduler with the "Standby" function and it always wakes my PC for a scheduled recording or to update the EPG, and then puts it back to standby mode. And you could do exactly the same, but have it go to "Hibernate" instead... :?

Yes I know. It does wakeup IF you use the hibernate function fram the pvr-scheduler plugin in MP. If I just hit the on/off button windows sends the pc in hibernation mode and then scheduled recordings won't work. :-(

It's just something I want because of the WAF factor. ;-)

aaahhh missed one thing. I see that your setup of mp and pvr-scheduler is working when you update the epg and then it goes back to standby. Right?? I use hibernation mode and it will wake up for scheduled recordings and hibernate again BUT it will not hibernate again after it wakes up for updating the EPG. :-(

    Any ideas???

Yes, that's correct. I use the option called "PVR Scheduler Updater" in PVRS under the "Miscellaneous" tab, to run an EPG grabber (called DUGG) and then put the PC back to standby. And, I have "Shutdown/Standby only when in home screen" selected under the "MediaPortal/...." tab

Does PVRS automatically put your PC to "Hibernate" at the end of a recording, when you manually start a TV recording (while watching TV) and then leave MediaPortal at the home screen? This is the "IA" mode - with "Automatic" set to "ON".

What bit can't you get to work correctly?

Describe what is happening (or what you expect to happen) and I will see if I can help... :?

I have got it to hibernate now after 10 min. :) IA is set to 10 min and ON.

But now the scheduled update for the epg is not working. It will not wake up the pc. :-( It says it will wake up at 0200 and no standby after recording. Suddenly it says it will wake up at 0200 and resume after update. Hitting any button in the pvr-scheduler setup program result in the no standby after recording again.

    Any ideas???

Have tried to reinstall pvr-scheduler but no luck.

Can you set PVRS to run your EPG grabber again (@ 02:00) and if it doesn't work (doesn't wake the PC to run the grabber), post your PVRScheduler.log and your scheduler.ini files here - that might give me a clue...
