Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows howto change the audio balance within mediaportal?
My wife watches some movies which includes different language on left and right audio channel. It would be nice if its possible to select right or left channel in mono mode.

Mediaportal 0.2.3.0

Don't you have a receiver you could do that with? AFAIK you cant do this from inside MP, but its possible from audio control panel in windows. Not a very good way tho..

Thanks for the reply.
I have my HTPC directly connected to the Plasma TV. The thing is that the plasma doesnt make one channel completely silent. Also it doesnt make it mono (left or right in both speakers). I use the audio panel in windows now but its a bit inconvinent and you dont get audio from both speakers. I have a MCE remote and thought maybe its possible to map a button to change audio balance but Im no expert on that ;-)

What we really need is a method to PAN audio. Even just an option called Centre/ right/left audio should be perfect.

I think we need a whole extra Gui audio control system in MP, I have NO way of selecting only left right + sub channel in my music or movie setup. It's either stereo or full 5.1

There are a lot of places where the standard windows setting just is not enough and tweaking is needed within media portal.

I also think different settings for movies and music is necessary.

Why should we buy hardware to do all this when we bought a media centre pc and everything can be done in software. :)
