In MP setup you can change the function of the play button in the music section.
Option 1 - Default
Same behaviour is current.
Create new playlist with the highlighted track / item (eg. album) and start playing from the start of the playlist
Option 2 - New
- If no active playlist currently exists, then Create new playlist with only the highlighted track / item (eg. album) and start playing from the start of the playlist. (ie same as current behaviour)
- If active playlist currently exists and music = playing, then Dialog box "Do you want to add to the current playlist?"
Yes = Item is added to the bottom of the active playlist
No = Create new playlist with the highlighted track / item (eg. album) and start playing at the start of the playlist
- If active playlist currently exists and music = not playing, then Dialog box "Do you want to add to the current playlist?"
Yes = Item is added to the bottom of the active playlist, and the playlist starts playing at the selected track / group of tracks.
No = Create new playlist with the highlighted track / item (eg. album) and start playing at the start of the playlist
PS - I would also advocate a similar behaviour when you click 'enter'/'ok' on a track / item with no subfields. If there is music already playing/active playlist then dialog box "Do you want to add to the current playlist?" with behaviour similar to above.
