When I'm playing mkv files with embedded or external subtitle, the font size is very small. Is it possible to change the font size when playing these files?
AVI files plays fine with "normal" font size.

I'm using ffdshow as video/audio decoder for movies, and have also Haali Mediasplitter installed.

You need to find out what kind of subtitles you're trying to play and with which filter it is displayed.

If it is ASS/SSA (bitmap) embedded subs you can scale them using Haali Media Splitter Settings/Output/SSA fontsize scale percentage.

If it is .srt/.sub (text) subs rendered by ffdshow, use ffdshow Video decoder configuration/Subtitles/Font. I like to use Autosize and then alter the size with the Body slider. This will keep subs the same size even with different resolution videos.

If it is .srt/.sub (text) subs rendered by MediaPortal use MediaPortal Configuration/Movies/Subtitles.

To find out which filter is rendering the subtitles, use Ctrl+G in Graphedit when playing the movie in MediaPortal. Look for the Subtitle link and to where it is connected.
