How difficult would it be to add a flag in the config so if you are using a canadian login, the canadian url is used?
I use VPN to get a US IP, but I have a canadian account. It works fine from a browser, but with the plug in, instant watch will not work as Netflix seperates their portal.
For example, I can use this in a browser for Star Trek (new movie)
http://ca.movies.netflix.com/CommunityAPIPlay?movieid=http://api.netflix.com/catalog/movie/70101276&nbb=y&cRedirect=true
and actually I can leave off the Redirect part and it works
http://ca.movies.netflix.com/CommunityAPIPlay?movieid=http://api.netflix.com/catalog/movie/70101276&nbb=y
but the plug in uses the US address
http://www.netflix.com/CommunityAPIPlay?movieid=http://api.netflix.com/catalog/movie/70101276&nbb=y
if there was a setting in the config for canada so it opened ca.movies.netflix.com instead of www.netflix.com, then most things would play.
I also tested the canadian url with a canadian IP. It workes there as well.
Mind you, I don't know about the content displayed, as the lists likely would be all US based unless a country flag could be used for pulling the data. But for us VPN people, only the play url is an issue, so if there was to be a canadian listings option, preferably that setting should be seperate from a playback portal setting.
If there is something I can do to help with this, I will. I am not a 'real' programmer but I could test or whatever...
Thanks, Mike Barton.
