to ridderdk:
Well then Haali Media Splitter is not used here
. On the contrary, The standard DVD Navigator (qdvd.dll) is (and remains the only one).
1) What is your DVD decoder? Are your directshow filters correctly registered? If you have graphedt then what is its output during DVD watching with MediaPortal?
2) Do the subtitles work with at least one DVD of your collection?
3) Did you only try to activate subtitles with your remote controller or did you also try to press the appropriate keyboard button?
4) VobSub/VSFilter?
to Sentinel: I've never run videos with subtitles in different files under MediaPortal. It may be, a priori, VobSub only fault. Do subtitle switching work with files containing both video and subtitles? The 'L' button will be of no help here because VobSub does not interact with MediaPortal code, to the best of my knowledge. The subtitle in the auxiliary file should always be visible if VobSub is used and the appropraiet option is checked in Movies/Subtitles. I can't help you more here, sorry. Sorry if it wasn't obvious, but i am talking about changing subtitles via the remote, while playing an ordinary DVD....
