So I did a lot of research on MediaPortal and decided to give it a shot everything was pretty smooth and installed without any issue. I had a lot of encrypted channels which I knew would be the case unfortunately. However to get to the point if I attempt to preview any channels PreviewFailed:AllCardsBusy.

So I went through all the wiki documentation to verify that I had all my channels mapped properly and there in lies the problem. TV Channels are not mapped but if I look at the mapping section there are no TV channels to map.

I have a Ceton InfiniTV 4, I have installed the patch and the tuners are detected properly channels are detected after the scan but I can't map them because they don't exist in any of the 4 tuners.

Any help of this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello and welcome! :)

If you scanned the channels in then the channels should already be mapped to the tuner, so this is a bit odd.
Have you installed the patch from here?

If not, please can you do that and see if the problem persists.

    Regards,

    [edit: Hang on a moment...
Why are all those channels showing in your first screenshot marked with green bubbles (meaning not encrypted)?
Normally channels found in a CableCARD tuner scan are all marked with red bubbles (meaning encrypted).
Have you installed/configured the SchedulesDirect plugin perchance?

I have it pulled all the data down, guide shows all information and channel numbers appear to be mapped properly. Yes I have installed the update it has helped some but there are still occasions of my Infinitv 4 dropping out but a quick refresh they show back up.

Right, so the channels you're seeing are probably analog channels created by the SchedulesDirect plugin rather than channels actually scanned in from the tuner. Since they're analog channels, they can't be mapped to CableCARD tuners. Hence the empty list in the mapping section.

I recommend you start over (delete all the existing channels).
The process you need to follow is to scan the channels in from the tuner then link the guide data to those channels.

Ok that makes sense, But in theory if I installed my analog tuner it should pop up on the list of devices the channels can be mapped to?

Yes. However it wouldn't make the channels tunable. The channels broadcast on the cable are actually digital, so can't be tuned by an analog tuner. The reason the SD plugin creates them is for people that use analog tuner or capture cards with a blaster to control an external set top box. In that scenario the automatic channel creation saves a lot of time; in every other scenario they are useless and confusing.

I'll delete the channels and scan again and see if we can get to the bottom of where those came from thanks!
