Hello,

Some days ago I formated and reinstalled my media computer to get rid of my codec mess. After installation av all drivers, everything from Windows Update I downloaded the new RC2 of MP. Installation went well, but when it was time for channel scan almost no channels were found.

I scan using the Sweden-Comhem-Stockholm predefined found in the TV-server config. It seems like I find the same 8 channels over and over again even though the frequency are suppose to change. First time I run the scan I get 8 new channels and 0 updated, follows by 19 rows of 0 new and 8 updated. The log file indicates that the same channels are found every time. All following scans will have 20 rows of 0 new and 8 updated.

When I scan using the FireDTV viewer boundled with my TV-card drivers I find all channels, both scrambled and unscrambled.

I'm out of ideas, so any help or piece of advice are appreciated!

Marcus

I have the some problem. There are a couple of sub-channels missing that I'd like to have. To manually add a channel (or subchannel), one would need to be a TV station engineer.

I also use ComHem but not in Stockholm and I encounter the exact same problem.

When I scan the channels the first channels that are found are added and then the same channels are updated over and over again for all the other transponders where the other channels should be added.
When the scan is finished the result is "new: 7 updated: 154".

The channels that are found works, but I would love to get the other channels as well. ;)

I have at least found an issue with the addition of channels, if two channels have the same name, there are treated as if it is one channel.

I think, if i look at all the tables in the database that the sortorder should be used to decide whether it is the same channel and not the name itself. But then again i'm not a DVB expert i just examined the database.

I would love to see a change where the SortOrder field in the Groupmap table is used to select a channel when typing in a number. As for me the SortOrder field is the same as the channel number on my settop box.

I got my system working again after reinstalling the drivers for the tv-card (FloppyDTV-C). I ran out of ideas, and since FireDTV (comes with the TV-card) worked on all channels I never thought this would help, but not everything works again.

I still don't know if it had anything to do with the drivers, but I'm happy again. I hope this helps someone else. ;)
