The plugin "TV Recordings" correctly has all the channels but MP/TV/Channel list omits four. How can I make it complete. I have tried going into MP Configuration and doing Backup then Restore.

Just had an idea. Perhaps if someone can tell me what file contains the channel list that TV Recordings uses, or the incomplete one that MP is using, I can work out which one is incomplete and replace it.

Thanks to anyone who may have been thinking of helping with this

fyi I have just managed to make my channel list in MyTV complete. I went into MP Configuration/TV/TV Channel Groups/ Map Channels tab. All the channels were there on the left so I put them into their respective groups. I'm not sure if this was actually necessary, but I did it anyway.

I clicked OK then went into MP proper\TV\Channel The list was still incomplete. I then clicked Group. At the top of the list was All Channels so knowing I'd arranged things in the groups, I clicked the All Channels. All this did was close the Groups list.
However when I clicked the Channel button I found the list is now complete.

It is a pity the MP MANUAL which I have been so dutifully following is so incomplete about this (and many other) areas, else I may have been able to work this out earlier. Moderators/Experts.... perhaps in the manual where it says Groups (that's IT.... nothing else AT ALL) there could be some explanation. Moreover, in the same area, what the heck do "Unscrambled" and "unknown" mean?

OK SORRY!!!!! :sorry:
The coin has finally dropped with me.
MP, being open source, is a "community project" and as such there are many people all doing their best to contribute and make it happen, and doing so voluntarily. This being the case, they have succeeded admirably and it is unreasonable of non-developers (like me) to expect as high a level of support as I anticipated.

Half the problem is the paperwork is not complete, but the Doc's team are updating things, its just slow laborious and often unthanked work.

Most questions asked here, can only be answered by someone whose has experienced the same thing and found their own answer, which hopefully they share with everyone by posting the answer on the forum.

It's most probably only a few of us who try and read most posts every day, but believe me it can be overwhelming and often just totally do not see a post, so its not a case of ignoring it.

Anyway, hopefully you have solved your issue, yep MP's a big learning curve, but hopefully worthwhile, once you get a stable system.

    Regards
