Please, pretty please with cream, sugar and naked ladies on top (or men depending on your gender or preference, I'm not judging), could you add the possibility to enter an audio player of our choice to play audio files?

Just as it's possible to enter the file name and parameters of a DVD or Movie player. It would solve so many issues that I have with playing odd formats like .mka for example (I remux .dts and .ac3 files into a .mka to get them to play in WMP).

It would seem like a pretty easy job, or is it hard?

It would be very very appreciated.

Thanks for your hard work.

eh.. There are already plugins for Winamp, iTunes and foobar integrated. The latter should be able to play any file which is worth listening to ;)

    1. Latest foobar isn't supported.
    2. WinAmp can't play .mka files and .dts playback is dodgy (the development of that plugin has even stopped).
    3. iTunes I haven't tried yet.

Is it hard to just add the option? Or addd the option to use WMP at least.

I know you're going to say use the 0.8.3 foobar version (or whichever is supported again). I did try it, but it didn't play all my audio files, only the 0.9 version does, so I'm screwed on that.

Or to be more exact, the 0.8.3 version doesn't work with the SPDIF passthrough plugin, which is needed or there isn't much point in having dts and ac3 audio files (if they get decoded to normal 2ch stereo).
