Choppy video and mose movement on second monitor (1 Viewer)

Hi

I'm totaly new to media portal.
I want to run Media portal on the second monitor (LCD TV) on my system, but as soon as I move media portal to the second screen mouse movement starts getting choppy, and if I run a movie on the second screen it runns really bad. Otherwise it seems to be a great app.

Any ideas what the problem coud be??

I use a ATI radeon 9700 pro graffic card on a AMD XP2400 computer running Win XP and I have 512Mb ram. Media portal 0.2 RC2

Mediaportal needs to run on the primary display (it's a directX9 app, so this is as far as I understood the same behaviour as what you'll see with heavy 3D games).
You can switch manually in display settings or get a program like Ultramon. With it, you can create a shortcut that switches displays and starts MP. After MP closes, it will switch back.

It's not free, so you may want to look in the array of helper apps probably delivered with your videocard if one of them has an equal function.

Basically: switch to ATI hardware on secondary and maximize, do not run full screen.
