Is CI+ for computer possible in any way? I have done research and found out that I can lend a CAM from my cable-provider for CIv1. Problem here is, that it can only decrypt one channel at a time, so it wouldn't be possible to record multiple channels. Some people talk about MDAPI and Unicam. Unicam seems to be somekind of special CAM, but I don't know anything else regarding it.
Here is basically how this tech works officially with our cable providers:

So we can buy CI+ CAM:s and pair it with providers card or lend CIv1 cards, but as I mentioned it's not very good solution for PC.

If you are from Germany, I'd reccomend this thread to you:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/hd-oder-kein-hd.129016/

    The short Version in English:
CI+ is not possible, since all hard and software must be certified for HD+ / CI+.
But at the beginning of HD+, when no HD+ receivers where available yet, there was a "normal" CAM module which worked with HD+.
If you can get an CAM like that (I don't know from where, or how it's called), and a fitting card for it, then you can watch HD+ on your PC.

Hello and thanks for the answer. I am from Finland and would very much like to hear what that CAM is. :)
I have read something about Unicam, but I don't have enough information regarding if it's the right CAM.
And what is MDAPI, and why have some people recommended it, when the discussion is about CI+ in PC?

    HI.
For this topic it seems to be best to learn German ;) 99% of all info I know about is in German language.
Maybe you can find a bit more if you google for "Deltacam" or "Unicam"
    And a link in English:
    http://unicam2.to/

    what is MDAPI
This is something that isn't allowed to discuss in our forum due to legal issues in lots of countries and especially in Germany, where the forum is hosted...

Ok. Thank you. It's very hard to find any info regarding any of these topics. Does anyone have any experience with these Unicams? Are they solution for this CI+ problem? If there are any other solutions, I'm all ears. :)

seems to be working on various setups with German HD+ and/or Sky. But no one can guarantee...
I don't have HD+ or other Pay-TV, so can't tell my own experiences.

This seems to be really common in Germany for this there is lot to read in German. Don't know if Google translate may help...
