I have Media Portal installed on my main desktop computer which runs the T.V. server. I also have a Media Portal client running on my laptop. The desktop computer can playback the t.v. without a problem. However when I try to watch t.v. on my laptop over the network I get problems with my picture, it's very jumpy. It's more or less splitting the picture in half, shifting and offsetting the picture. I've attached an image to provide an example of what is happening. Any information on the subject would be much appreciated!

Thanks

    Hi howellrtl,
Maybe it could be network throughput. Have you tried copying the file from your desktop server to your laptop? How does the playback work then?
A falsh drive would be useful for the copy, if you have one large enough to hold your recording.

I don't think the network throughput is the problem. I don't have any issues playing recordings over the network on my laptop. Additionally, I play ISO's over my network and those play great.

I'm using ffdshow and divx codecs... are there other ones I should try?
