btw, what is "Jasmio.MediaCenter.Service" in your logs? looks suspect, because you probably already know that MP can't work properly while MediaCenter service is running.

Hi,

I have completely disabled media center on my pc. Not sure what else to remove. I cant access it anymore since following a guide to remove it.

dvxa native is enabled in LAV.

Tried enabled LAV for everything but still only shows 29fps. Lilve TV ok, but videos still stuttering.

Try enabling the Dynamic Refresh Rate setting in MP Config.

    Hi,

Dynamic Refresh is enabled. Have now noticed videos stutter even in VLC.[DOUBLEPOST=1344259958][/DOUBLEPOST]Additional 3rd party checks screen states Media Centre is not running.

Strange, the right refreshrate for a 29.97Hz video should be 59Hz and not 60Hz.

Please try to reproduce the problem again and repost logs.

Just a thought: What kind of antivirus do you have installed?
I had similar problems with eset nod32 once. If you've got it then exclude mediaportal.exe, tvservice.exe and all media filetypes from scanning...

That's the default setting when a display doesn't support the 59Hz setting.
59Hz is preferred, since that does 59.94Hz which matches NTSC (x2) exactly.

    Hi

@Luca, I am using Avast! latest verson. Tried disabling it compltely and made no difference.

Will try setting refresh rates on the weekend. I am away from home for the next few days. Thanks again, will update on the weekend once I have tried these settings.

ps. are the Hz settings above correct for Australian TV ? I dont think we use NTSC? Or is the PAL/NTSC thing no longer relevant in the HD world?

Australian TV uses 50 fps. Technically PAL and NTSC terms are only relevant for analog content, however some of the specifications like frame rates and resolutions carried over.

I note that just in case you weren't aware, the "Boston Medical" episode that you played in the previous logs is 29.97 fps. Obviously sourced from a formerly NTSC country...
