I was trying to get MKV files to play in MP and failed. Now when I try and play an xvid file (one that I encoded myself with xvid 1.1) the quality is poor and I get some kind of overlay showing the following info, i.e. 267 ST:267 IF:0 PVOP I've not really used Graphedit, but it seems to show the codec being used as the ffdshow mpeg4 video codec. Prior to a number of uninstalls it shows divx as the codec, with identical overlay and poor quality. Can anyone suggest how to get back to where I was? Windows rollback? I think the problem was the Matroska_Pack_Lite_v1.1.2.exe (grrr) and I also installed and removed the CCCP pack. I know, stay away from codec packs... Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Mark
