Colossus No Audio With Lines #1-3 (1 Viewer)

OK trying to get my Colossus card working with MP. The video/audio works fine with Media Portal and Arcsoft. In Media Portal -> TV Server Configuration -> TV Channels -> both YRYBY#1 and S-Video#1 work for video when I select a preview. But neither work for audio, no matter what I set it to. It should be Line#1 but it doesn't work. For giggles I've tried every setting, but none of them work.

The cable box is connected via RCA cables to Component, including the audio. I'm not using the HDMI and I'm not using the digital audio.

Kinda at a loss here. Any help would be totally appreciated.

This is a playback (codec) problem not a source (Colossus, connection) problem. That preview function uses the DirectShow "merit" (preference) system to select the video and audio decoders (codecs) to use to play the stream (as opposed to MediaPortal where you can select the codecs explicitly).

In terms of function, it isn't really necessary to get preview working but if you do want to get is working you can either install Filmerit (or some similar tool) and bump up the merit of your preferred codecs...

The other thing you can do which may solve the problem more simply would be to simply install the LAV codecs. This can be done with the MP Extension Installer - shortcut on your desktop or in your start menu.

That's definitely on the right track. Noticed that I was getting errors when trying to load ffdshow config (audio/video). FWIW I did have the LAV codecs install when I installed MP.

The version I had was old, so I grabbed the latest x64 version and installed. Good news is that Media Center now works fine. Preview still doesn't work. So you're right about that.

Aaaaaannnnndddd it's working in live tv mode. I had to reinstall the latest ffdshow drivers for that to happen. (Tried live before without success).
