    Hmmm missed that hah.

So if I install 2010 will that allow me to compile without the need for the SDK that I can't install due to running on Windows 8?

Well, this much I can say: you'll be one step closer to successfully compiling. I use XP so I can't tell you anything about W8. If you do manage to compile and find the wiki is wrong please tell us so we can correct it. :)

I'm on Win8 with both vs2010 / 2012 but for sure, you need vs2010 and if you follow the wiki (all should be working) but like said mm, if you notify some missing part, please share with us and we will update the wiki page :)
    Thanks :)

    I"m running VS2012 Ultimate + installed VS2010 Express and can compile fine on Win 8 + VS2012 ;)
But indeed, you need some VS2010 components.

Hi Homey, assume I'll need the full fat version of VS2010 to get the headers etc, or will I be able to use the one in VS2012?

For now better to have the full vs2010 and after that you can use vs2012 too
