It's SOOOOO nice to see it all come together and work properly. This is our main TV so I was kinda concerned.

The build went okay, but I learned quickly that stock 300watt PSU wouldn't drive the graphics GPU I needed for OTA HD. You'll Notice I had to retro-fit a normal sized 430Watt PSU into the case. The White module on the case sidewall is actually a RF transmitter for the ambient temprature around the PSU. I talked with the maker of the PSU and they told me the ambient temp of the PSU should not exceed 140f. I never get above 105F.

I did get a little shock now and then. Just a reminder to un-plug it 1st.

I LOVE your work on your case. I had checked it out before. I may need to get some specifics on that mod in the future. I'd really like it for temprature monitoring etc..

I cut the metal case apart that the PSU came in. I then mounted it to the inside of my HTPC case. Everything is self contained in the PSU, so I didn't have to do much work. I added an internal temp guage which was wireless so I could monitor the ambient temp around the PSU. I spoke with Thermaltake to get the max operating temp range.

Does the change of PSU change the noise alot?
I added silent casefans and a silent chip cooler, but im still not really happy with the noise.

Got any advise on wich silent PSU would fit (with or without modding)?
